I NEED ANOTHER STORY. SOMETHING TO GET OFF MY CHEST.
I'M GONNA GIVE ALL MY SECRETS AWAY.
TELL ME WHAT YOU WANT TO HEAR. SOMETHING THAT WAS LIKE THOSE YEARS.
------------------------------------------------------------------
It was a day like any other day. Downtown San Francisco was crowded with tourists and natives alike. The sun was shining through a hazy mixture of clouds and pollution, but somehow it worked. The cool breeze that floated off the bay and through the city, was a constant reminder that air condition was unnecessary here. The sounds of the trolleys making their way up and down the streets as people headed into work rang through the air, signaling the start of another day. And the coffee shop was in a flurry during the morning rush.
It was a familiar scene, but none of that even registered to Kyle Larsen as he looked over the various albums his fiancée placed in front of him. Flower arrangements, wedding invitations, seating charts - all of the usuals things he had become accustomed to seeing in the last few weeks, as he and Helen planned their upcoming nuptials. He didn't mind. To Kyle, it was just another day he got to spend with his beautiful fiancée, planning their future together. As a man who usually didn't like to think about the future, he couldn't help but think about what was in store for them once they were married.
He held up the two styles of invitations in front of him, trying to narrow his two favorites down to one. He glanced over at Helen smiling at her as he handed her back the samples. "I like the black and red one," he told her. He lifted his coffee to his lips, taking a long drink of the hot liquid and letting the caffeine wake him up. He'd gotten in late the night before; working the dinner shift at the restaurant wasn't easy by any means, but it was worth it. Someday, he wanted to open his own restaurant, but he wanted to get as much experience as he could before then. Besides, it had been at that restaurant where he had met Helen. Meeting her had changed everything.
